DEATH PIT - Hell On Hallows Eve

AAAAH Yes! The smell of dying leaves, the refreshing Michigan Atmosphere Its gotta be Halloween! Last Halloween we recorded our Third EP, Hell On Hallows Ever. Celebrating the bands love for Halloween and Horror movies we started recording October 8th and had a release deadline on October 28th and this is what we came up with! Featuring one of my favorite songs Dying Will Be Your Desiny, the whole Album revolves around Horror, Murder and Occult themes. We wanted to release something that would be a Halloween classic Something that the Locals would know Halloweens coming when they hear these devastating death pit tunes! DEATH PIT - FEVER SWAMP

This is the second Album we released we call It Fever Swamp. Again we didn't really plan much for this album we just rushed in and recorded it. It was late spring and Death Pit was in the air, We wanted to go for something Heavier and more thrash so we headed into our music lab and recorded Fever Swamp we got the idea  and the name from one of our Favorite Goosebumps episodes. The first song we ended up recording on this album was Gargoyles from Hell I got the Idea from watching the Disney Cartoon Gargoyles I thought it would be sick to make a song about Gargoyles killing people on the streets. We got the beginning from a crazy episode of wife swap we thought it fit into the song quite well! Then after that we recorded the others including one of my favorites our Power Rangers cover. Then After about 3 weeks of recording and mixing we finally released Fever swamp, We didn't care much for the recording quality but at least it is listenable so go ahead and download it.....You will like it!

DEATH PIT DEMO

Hey everybody this is Earl here I'm gonna give you a little History about the band and how we came about and eventually how this demo came about. Well it all started when Me and Matt left our previous band Fatal Demise we could no longer come to terms with certain members. So after a bad band break up we decided we need to make something better than Fatal Demise we need something more punk more aggressive and more cross over. After a few recording sessions with Matt we decided we needed another trusty shredder to join the band so then we recruited long time friend and rhythm guitarist Tj D'hoest! Then we just started recording tracks with what we had and something clicked. We didn't have a plan for the album we just hit record and this is what we came up with.

Welcome To The Official Death Pit Blog!

Hows it going ladies and germs this is Earl from Death Pit welcoming you to our new blog where we will be posting updates about the band, New songs, Tour information, Videos and Merch deals! We have a lot of big things coming this Spring/Summer first off we are gonna start recording our first full length and we are gonna call it The Knight Of The Living Dead! But before that we are releasing a new EP this spring called FrightMare we have two songs released for it already, I will Include them down below. We also are working on a video project this summer about the band documenting the process of recording, practicing, and live performances not to mention the crazy antics the guys from Death Pit have to offer. For our fans wondering about merch we are in the process of compiling merch as we speak, this summer we have a whole bunch of crazy merch coming from you guys ranging from custom rolling papers to hats and beanies. Also for you guys wondering when we are gonna press our cd's well wonder no longer because we have decided to make a compilation album with all of our demo songs we are in the process of getting an awesome cd cover for it, One that we know you guys will like! We are also pressing The FrightMare EP this spring so keep an eye out for that too! Watch out for Death Pit this summer we plan on going all out!!
